This is our scene
Our prop hire business came about when our Co-Founder, Emma-Louise was learning the ropes in the film industry. She realised that the local industry lacked hiring options for the art department. It was only solidified when exchanging stories with industry peers in Sydney and Melbourne. Emma-Louise had been working across sets in South East Queensland and wondered, “Why don’t we have the same resources as the rest of the east coast?”
The other half of our business, Co-Founder, Matt brings a keen eye for retro and vintage items. He works as a picker and runs his own vintage and collectables business, which complements ours and gives us the opportunity to seek new pieces. When Emma-Louise, Matt’s daughter mentioned her business idea, he was excited to get on board, as he himself had seen the gap in the market.
Together, Emma-Louise and Matt saw a crossover between creating an eclectic film set and piecing together the perfect event.
And thus, Prop Starz was born.
We’re here to add more to Brisbane’s Film & TV Industry. To bring it up to speed with the east coast. To create a bustling scene that can’t be denied.
